Been busy busy! :D

Big thanks to the hubby who has had to sacrifice and get out of his comfort zone (transforming his room)! *laughs*

Before our wedding, he had two rooms for himself, and I had two rooms to myself in my parents' house. Well after the wedding... Each of us now have two half-rooms? *laughs*

We had to make space for me (and all my stuff)!

It was a pretty tiresome few weeks as we redid half of his studio room (where he would practise guitars). We spent our weekends and evenings after work, painting the walls/ceiling of the room, researching, planning and sourcing/purchasing the materials for the build, cutting, sanding, varnishing and so on! Had some disagreements along the way with lots of frustrations when the build was not going as smoothly as we thought it could be, but we made it... through the first month of marriage and amateur building!

The shots of the process of building the desk and lead-up for the pegboard for my side, as well as building the drawers! :D And we madeeeeeee it! :D

- materials mainly from Mitre10 as we had discounts

- plywood for drawers were from Plyman in Henderson

- pegboard was mounted on battens

Building the drawers~

Pegboard and shelves! Finally the time to get everything up up up! :D

It was such a long wait for my pegs from aliexpress as I procrastinated and didn't order them early enough! But wooohoooo! EXCITEMENT when they finally arrived!

- flimsy DIY weaving loom

- floral garland/faux flowers from our wedding (nowhere else to put them!)

- pegs/quilting rulers from aliexpress

- magnetic rack for needles and bobbins

- leftover wood that Cody had for framing our wedding sign, and nails for DIY thread holder!

- fabric weights made with square washers

- using paper clips to hold/hang zippers

- leftover plywood from drawers and brackets for the shelves

- ALOHA from Hawaii that the hubby bought me a few years ago :D

- beautiful watercolour painting from my ex-colleague!

- one of my latest tapestry

- fantail wall decor piece :D

- DIY ombre bottles that we spray painted for the centrepieces for our wedding!

Now this is my happy corner! :D I could stay in here forever~

(basket/tin box at the bottom side for collecting scrap fabrics during projects)

Been sewing quite a few things over the few weeks and because my things are now all within reach so easily from the shelves or pegboard or drawers, it has been so motivating to put away every single item after each evening! :D

tadahhhh! XD

thanks to the hubs for letting me go crazy with using up his room! XD
