First quilted bag!

The latest obsession of quilting doesn't stop even when it gets tiring to make a full quilt! *laughs*

A quilted bag it is!

Decided to make this quilted bag for my friend, to match the baby quilt for her son! I had some extra squares that I had cut for the original design of the quilt before I decided to change my mind, so it was a perfect opportunity to use up some of those cuts!

Lots and lots of cutting!

Started with 10.5cm cut squares! :)

10.5cm squares x 12!

Drew a line down its diagonal!

White and coloured pieces, RST

Sewed 1/4" away from the line

Cut on the marked line!

Pressed out the HSTs

My half-square triangles!

Final arrangement!

Stacked them up for sewing!

Pressed out the seams!

One block done!

The first block seemed good, and so I proceeded to cut out another 12 squares (10.5cm) - six coloured and six white, for the second block which would form the other side of the bag.

50 x 36.5cm for half the bag

I must have been so excited (or tired lol) for the quilting part, that I forgot to take photos of the steps for the quilting lines for the outer bag (can be seen in the last image).
