Finished this pre-lockdown but did not get to gift this till this week!

So excited! I hope the baby enjoys this quilt for years to come!

:D :D

First time trying out a quilt, and all thanks to the youtubers who unfailingly make the effort to post up tutorials, it turned out well! :D :D

Just some of the youtuber/videos which I really enjoyed and contributed lots in this project included

I wonder if I had used a walking foot to sew the pieces together, if the feeding of the fabric would have been more even; I ended up with some rows longer than the others *laughs*

Originally had a different design in mind, but it didn't quite turn out quite nice after I arranged them, and so decided to change the design and had to re-cut pieces. If I had initially planned this resulting design, I probably would actually have saved a lot of time by using this "Bargello" technique as shown in this video or some kind of strip piecing technique like this.

Pre-washed my batting by soaking in warm water as I pre-washed all my fabrics; hopefully the quilt will still be all good after the proper first wash! :)

Watched a few various tutorials including the one from Sugaridoo, on how to spray baste my quilt sandwich.

For the quilting lines, I kind of did the wonky lines that was shown in this video by Just Get It Done Quilts, and quilted across and down the entire quilt.

For binding, I focused on this tutorial by Art Gallery Fabrics :)

And this marks the start of a NEW OBSESSION! :D

More quilts to come!!! :D
